Meet the Experts

Welcome Message

It is our great honour to invite you to the Hong Kong Diabetes and Cardiovascular Risk Factors – Meet the Experts symposium. The theme for the meeting is "Diabesity". It will be held on 2 April 2011 (Saturday) at the Eaton Hotel Hong Kong.

This is our third Meet the Experts symposium. With the success of organizing the lay programme at the East Meets West Annual Meeting on 1 October 2010 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, we are going to extend the Meet the Experts symposium to a full day programme with morning sessions target for patients and afternoon sessions for doctors and allied-health professionals.

The symposium once again will be jointly organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Diabetes and Obesity (HKIDO), The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Foundation for Research and Development in Diabetes (HKFRDD), the Hong Kong Association for the Study of Obesity (HKASO), the Hong Kong Atherosclerosis Society (HKAS) and UBM Medica Pacific Limited (UBM Medica).

Participants of our previous Meet the Experts symposium have found the meetings very useful and informative, with audience satisfaction ratings of over 90%. Your attendance will no doubt be a valuable and enjoyable experience. We sincerely urge you to make plans now to join colleagues for exchange of new ideas in this area. It will definitely provide an opportunity for participants to share their experiences and expertise.

Don't miss the high-quality, high-impact learning opportunity - register now!
